Roadmap
Protean Labs is building toward a persistent autonomous discovery infrastructure layer for peptide research.
Current Focus
- Continuous discovery orchestration.
- Constraint-guided peptide candidate generation.
- Failure-aware ranking and candidate review.
- Bounded learning systems.
- Research package generation for internal scientific and IP review.
Expanding Capabilities
- Broader failure memory.
- Richer assay feedback integration.
- Stronger model routing across proposal, interpretation, and scoring.
- More precise candidate lineage.
- Deeper research console workflows.
Protocol Research
Protean’s protocol research focuses on verifiable provenance, scientific object registries, reviewed collections, public-safe contribution workflows, and collection-linked coordination. $PRTN is the long-term infrastructure alignment layer for that network architecture.
Future ACE-style, token-aligned, collection-linked, programmable research financing, or tokenized SAFE-style mechanisms may be evaluated as separate counsel-reviewed structures. They are not roadmap promises, and any future mechanism would require legal, regulatory, jurisdictional, compliance, scientific, tax, and operational review before use.
Research Direction
The platform will continue to prioritize systems that improve candidate selection, preserve scientific controls, and create durable infrastructure around autonomous peptide discovery.
